Elon Musk unveils Tesla's new Cybertruck that's literally bulletproof

Cybertruck unveiling event

Elon Musk unveils Tesla's new Cybertruck which supposed to be bulletproof but breaks it's 'unbreakable' window during an unveiling.

Elon Musk's cybertruck has arrived and it looks absolutely nothing like pickup truck you have ever seen. Keeping aside an unconventional design, the Tesla Armor glass demo had some really embarrassing gaffes, like when Tesla's lead designer, Franz Von Holzhasen, attempted to show off the vehicle's "armored glass," and it resulted in broken windows.

This led a clearly sheepish Mr. Musk to say
at least it didn’t go through and that there was room for improvement.

Tesla shares dived 6.1%  after the event on Thursday and several bad reviews slashing Mr. Musk's personal net worth by $768m (£598m) in a single day, according to Forbes.

With its distinct angular design, the electric truck was greeted with cheers but also bemusement.

Trucks have been the same for a very long time, We wanted to show you something different... and we need sustainable energy now.
Musk said tonight

On Saturday Mr. Musk tweeted: "146k Cybertruck orders so far, with 42% choosing dual, 41% tri & 17% single motor".

The demand had come despite "no advertising & no paid endorsement" for the truck, he said.

No date has been given for the Cybertruck's release, but analysts said it would not be ready before the end of 2021 at the earliest.

Strangely enough, Tesla’s Cybertruck is supposed to be exactly two years away as well. And it’s fair to ask whether we’ll see this Cybertruck on the road before we see flying cars zipping across the sky like our 1960s pal George Jetson.

What are the features of Tesla Cybertruck?

Tesla Cybertruck is an upcoming all-electric battery-powered light commercial vehicle in development by Tesla, Inc. Three models have been announced, with range estimates of 250–500 miles (400–800 km) and an estimated 0–60 mph time of 2.9–6.5 seconds, depending on the model.

The stated goal of Tesla in developing Cybertruck is to provide a sustainable energy option for the roughly 6,500 fossil fuel-powered trucks sold per day in the US. Construction will make use of stainless steel and titanium.

The base price of the rear-wheel-drive model of the vehicle will be $39,900, with all-wheel drive models starting at $49,900.

The truck will use the self-leveling suspension which compensates for variable load and some models will have all-wheel drive. Other standard features include onboard power inverters for supplying both 120 and 240-Volt electricity, allowing the use of power tools without a portable generator. An air compressor for powering pneumatic tools is included. All vehicles will also come standard with Tesla Autopilot and will have the hardware capabilities for fully autonomous operation. As of November 2019, Tesla is accepting pre-orders for a $7,000 'full self-driving' option.

The range of the Cybertruck varies from 250 to 500+ miles (400 to 800+ km), depending on configuration selections.

Kimbal Musk stated beforehand that it would be the most exciting product since the introduction of the Tesla Model S.[49]

The Cybertruck unveiling event was covered heavily by traditional media and online blogs/social media. Initial reactions toward the unique design were mixed, though pricing and features were attractive. In social media, many commentators expressed dislike of the sharp contours and unusual exterior of the Cybertruck
